Jade and all:
There is properly much debate over what price to pay for Dell
and whether it is overvalued at some point in time.
IMO Dell is has been and is still undervalued by the 'average'
investor as represented by the marketplace stock price.
The prices I have paid for Dell over the years is as
follows:
1993 $18,$20,$27
1994 $42
1995 $92
1996 $43,50,57,68,93
1997 $57,63,63,64,65,67,69,79,81,85,95,105
1998 $79,83,93,100,100,105,105,105,106,107,110,111,118,132
Of these 36 purchases, only the 118 in the red. (The $132 was pre-2 splits)
Only 5 purchases were made at a price less that $50, and no purchase in the last two years cost less than $57.
The points I wish to make are that Dell has not been a low cost stock and that the $58 price today will soon look very very cheap indeed.
Buy Dell anytime, any price......
