Dave, I've just built a very similar system, so I'll take a stab at your post, then let the other capable participants add their two cents. As indicated in an earlier post, I'm running a boxed (0 step) 266 Celeron at 400 mhz, eventually to be replaced by a boxed 300a. Some thoughts: -if you haven't done so already, check out the excellent Abit board site bxboards.pair.com , "The Unofficial Abit BX6/BH6 Page." This guy has complied lots of really detailed info on the Bh6 and bx6 boards as well as issues relating to them. (For instance, I'd suggest all prospective do it yourselfers check out his SDRAM and case surverys.) -performance increase definately noticable jumping from 266/66 to 400/100, as tomshardware.com benchmarks and others have indicated. -I'm using the Kingston lifetime-warranty PC 66 DRAM purchased at Comp USA ($150 for 128 SDRAM stick) so that I could return it easily if I had problems. It uses 16 Samsung 10 ns (end with "G10" on the chips) and seems to be running great. The above mentioned page indicates that these chips should be good up to 103 mhz at normal (up to CAS 2) settings. So far, I'm doing fine at CAS 3. I may try CAS 2, if there's a noticable performance difference (benchmarks, anyone?) but like you I have no interest in clocking beyond 100 mhz, as everything but the CPU (and technically, the RAM in my case) stays within spec. -I don't think you'll need the 300 watt PS with the In Winn FT unless you're doing something like Sean, with his dual PIIs, or putting in _many_ HDDs. The celeron runs around 20 watts even OC'd, and the BH6 isn't a big current draw. Then again, the extra cost isn't that much. Like Sean, I do like the case quite a bit. I have a few minor questions regarding it I'll post later. Hope this is helpful, Dave
