Thought I would take the time to gently chide Microsoft.
My Internet Explorer Browser fritzed out yesterday for no apparent reason. It would not move me to anything I had bookmarked. The sites were still bookmarked but it would not access them. So I scanned my disc and did an extensive defrag. After all that it still wouldn't work. So I decided the only thing I could do was reinstall the browser and it could iron out the glitches that way.
So I spent a hour downloading the new browser (some 6500 kb) and then it wouldn't install. It said some of the files were missing. The files were missing because they weren't sent to my computer. I had to redo the entire thing and this time it downloaded some 7500 kb.
After doing all this my bookmarks did work and I then only had to delete all the things Microsoft gives me for free with the download, like all the links to Microsoft sites I don't want.
The process only took a few hours. I wanted though to personally thank Billy G for all the fine technology he provided me. So if anyone knows how to contact him please extend my invitation to come and visit me. We can share some wine and I will show him some of the lovely scenery around here. I know a number of beautiful places with wonderful vistas and there is no chance of his screams being heard.
