Just heard on the radio - Slickster is supposed to give a speech tomorrow in NYC - reportedly he's going to "ask" Gspam to lower interest rates. Don't know if it's true ... I'm getting to believe he really sold US satellite technology to PRChina for donations ... Will do ANYTHING to save his ass ...

Nikkei rose on open, then went slightly neg. at this post time. Japanese/Far East/So.Am. may come to realize US will be preoccupied internally and unable to ride to rescue. quote.yahoo.com^N225&d=1d J.G., saw your post referring to possible Presidential jawboning of Fed. Bad move...could even backfire. (Just thinking about Bill making suggestions about monetary policy reinforces his lack of credibility and ability to lead. The mental image I had of Bill talking about "loosening" was everyone in the room running for cover afraid that he would lower his pants!)
