Are we not yet sick of hypocritical pontificating by evil repubs??? as if Ronnie didn't lie through his teeth about aiding the contras.

Well said and no one is asking for the removal of Rubin or Greenspan. On the other hand Greenspan has totally missed the deflation trap and Rubin has been ineffective with the Japanese. It is easy to push non G7 countries around (Mexico) let's see what they can do with Japan. Actually Adam Smith's invisible hand has been at work the whole time. I give Clinton credit for not tampering with what Regan and Bush helped get started through opposing Congresses and for going along with a Republican Congress and not tampering with the "worst economy" in 20 years. If people understood the delegation of responsibility of the various parts of the government they would see that the executive branch has little power in the area of economics. Speaking of the IMF they are just about bankrupt. See this AM news.
