Ken - A gent named Eric Presswood wrote a program called SIReader which accesses SI and batch loads the posts. I have not tried it but a friend did. He said that the program was 'early but interesting' and that presswood seemed interested in working it up to something that would be more full function. Maybe if we could get the SI folks to cooperate we could really get something going. I could probably get Eric Presswood's email if anyone wants to contact him. I was really thinking of a newsreader format - flexible, download what you want based on headers, filter what you like, and know in advance how much stuff you're asking for.
