Well, that's the first time I've ever been compared to Geraldo Rivera. Thanks, I guess. <G>

As for junkies in the White House, they are all addicted to power, and I don't think there is any cure for that.

It is pathetic to see the media getting all worked up about this episode. They have painted themselves in the corner by pounding the table for Clinton's impeachment/resignation, and now they discover to their intense chagrin that not only is the public giving Clinton high job-approval ratings, but they are also against asking him to resign or impeaching him. A reprimand/censure is as far as they are willing to go.

And not only that, the public feels that the media should take as much responsibility as Clinton himself for what has happened. And that's one more "Ouch!" for the media!

Despite all this, some of the media and Republicans seem to be in eternal denial. Just yesterday, I heard some bloke "explaining" the latest poll success for Clinton by saying that the people didn't want to read the salacious report during the weekend because of their kids, and once they read it, they will change their minds! Therefore, we have to wait until Tuesday night to get the "real" numbers!

Now, we have seen people clutching at straws, but this one... :-)
