You Sir cannot bore me.
I do in fact know who my ENEMIES are!
The only confusion they cause is among themselves!

So it is said that if you know others and know
yourself, you will not be imperiled in a
hundred battles; if you do not know others but
know yourself, you win one and lose one; if
you do not know others and do not know
yourself, you will be imperiled in every
single battle.

XXNJRJ...

Are you familiar with the history of WWII, more specifically, the Wacht am Rhein??

Seems to me that the comfy Allied leadership started believing its own misinterpretations reference the enemy's offensive capabilities.

They relied primarily upon the lack of ULTRA Sigint that prelude such an attack, thus discounting its possibility. They had more than ample Humint that indicated that something was brewing behind enemy lines but it was ignored.

The result... the Battle of the Bulge, which cost over 80,000 needless US casualties. Sure some can argue it hastened the end of the war, but the fact is that Allied Generals were complacent and unwilling to listen to real facts as relayed by Belgian civilians to US Humint collectors.

So what you call confusion and disinformation may just be that lonely bit of relevant intelligence looking for attention.

Are you so quick to discount it?? Are you a true analyst or merely listen to that which pleases your ear. You should know that in your business (Internal Security Operative), that you can't always trust your sources, thus you must confirm and reconfirm every fact in order to produce the most objective and predictive analysis.

Don't feel bad.. we all often find ourselves paying more attention to that which supports our original contentions. Too bad reality has a nasty habit of getting in the way.

Nite all!!

Regards,

Ron
