Hi Valueman

I apologize for my sloppy research-- I guess
Yahoo's numbers are worthless.

However, let me pursue more my argument: on the
day after the crash, LOR corrected by approximately
$5 1/2 and GSTRF by approximately $7 1/2. If I remember
correctly your analysis, there is about 1/3rd of a GSTRF
share in each LOR share. So, assuming LOR's decline was
entirely GSTRF related, if GSTRF had declined in the same
proportion as LOR, it should have declined by more than
$16. What the market did was to mark down GSTRF to zero
on LOR's balance sheets!

So, either LOR overcorrected, or GSTRF undercorrected,
or both (my interpretation). In any case, this clearly demonstrates
that LOR is a better buy at this point.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy
