I have the same problem 28,800. Caused by lotsa phones on the same circuit (multiplexers)

Tried to get Cable Modem (TCI) Sometime within the next 3 years was the response. YAWNNNN

Tried to get ADSL (US West) Sometime soon, Phone line not compatible, 'Got some fiber in the link' Yeh right.

Tried to get ISDN (US West) Every time the installation date got within a month they put it back two. In my infinite, stubborn headed, wisdom I told them where to put their digital link. Would probably have had it now. Ah well.

Looks like shotgun modem is the way to go, for people in our situation, see previous posts on this thread. 2 phone lines at 28k gets you 56k with 1 line dropping automatically for incoming calls.
