~OT~ The Jones Case relied heavily upon demonstrating a pattern of sex-in-the-workplace between superiors and employees (a.k.a. sexual harassment). No matter how hard everyone tries to deny that the President was not committing sexual harassment, he was clearly in a position of power over both Ms. Lewinsky and Ms. Jones.

Monica might have been a willing partner, but there were instances of quid pro quo, as well as other attempts at such. The President's interest in Monica's employment prospects (whether in the public or private sector) are absolute confirmations of this. They also confirm his desire to keep a lid on things- a desire that was manifested by his use of his Office to hide his adultery with a woman just three years older than his own daughter.

As for Ms. Jones, maybe the President will have James Carville personally deliver the public apology and settlement check to her. It was $700,000 before. I wonder how much it's going to cost now?

You also have to wonder how far away Monica is from filing suit against the President and his attorneys for slander and defamation of character.

I heard George Stephanopoulos suggest that Congress should censure the President, and he could pay a fine to cover the government's legal expenses related to his stonewalling for the last seven months. With all that money that Starr "wasted" proving the President a liar, I don't see how he can afford that option.
