I think I caught all the camel jockey stuff, actually, that was Wed or Thurs, right? Well, I took it in the same spirit as his 'Winspear is salted' stuff. Imho he was making a point by speaking figuratively. There is in fact a deep divide between fundamentalist Muslims and the Israelis with their American support. Throw in huge oil wealth and a few stray Russian nuclear weapons and you have a volatile mix that could very well affect the price of gold and speed its return to prominence as a safe haven. I knew there would be those unable to understand, unfamiliar with the man and his unorthodox and admittedly overly dramatic approach, and meant to PM him (not that it would have done much good) to settle down but didn't get around to it. Anyway, let's not grind on about this, but fwiw here is where I stand; Eric's sins are many, but are insignificant compared to the despicable cowardly acts of snivelling performed by those who would censor him. It is morally reprehensible to run whining to the sysop. A man with huevos stands up straight and looks his opponent in the eye and says his piece. Without snivelling. Ever. If he cannot make a cogent argument or realise that others too have the right to speak and speak freely, then he should reconsider his presence in online discussion. But back to the PoG - the dollar is up against everything but sterling and the Ffranc; cme.com - there are those who believe that the US exchange futures on Globex are being manipulated, and that seems quite possible to me, as they don't seem to reflect the next morning's action very well lately. ...
