ERNST & YOUNG ON ESSENTIAL INFRASTRUCTURE ISSUES

The Government recognises that the millennium date change poses a risk to the
essential infrastructure services upon which the nation's citizens and businesses depend.

As a first step in the process of addressing this risk and ensuring that there is no material disruption to essential public services Ernst & Young were asked to undertake a short exercise to identify the main processes which make up the country's essential services infrastructure, the interdependencies between the processes, and the potential outcomes of process failures. The results of this work are contained in this report
