Regarding you recent optimism on Ascend:
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 1998--Red-hot telecom equipment maker Lucent Technologies may soon be in the hunt for networking companies and foreign partners, Business Week reports. Despite Lucent's soaring stock since its 1996 IPO, the company hasn't been free to use its shares as acquisition currency. The reason: Accounting
rules bar spin-offs like Lucent from using an accounting method called "pooling of interests" for deals until they have been independent for two years. Lucent's second birthday is Oct. 1. So what will the Lucent buy itself as a gift? The company won't comment, but investors and analysts are buzzing about possible targets, including networking equipment maker Ascend Communications, France's Alcatel, and Finland's Nokia..

Re: "so right now my levels are clear and I will trade thme acordingly if we get a break of 1002 twice in a row I would think we are going to 850 on S&P=== "

Was this a typo? If not, why all of the way down to 850?

Best wishes,

I2

IQ, Where the heck are you guy. We have broken the 1037 and closed above it twice now. Japan was down yesterday .22% and is down 1% now, SPZ down about 2 and Greenspan did not let the cat out of the bag. What might you see for a volatile expiration day tomorrow?

Uncle Ike,
Wherefore hast thou forsaken us <VBG>.

"buyer of calls above 1009-- I will cover them on second
inability to break 1035-- that is it very simple vey foolish but I will be able to ride a trend both ways- I pinned that 7500 support for my self I traded every fall to that level-

So today we closed at 1045. What heights do you forsee for tomorrow?!

Ike,

And, what now?....is the target ~8750 Dow with resistance at ~8500? On composite do you see a trading range between 1625 to 1725 for next week? and if we break 1750 do you see ~2000? Also, if we don't slice through 1700 like butter, then where is the next support level?

Looking forward to your views.
