Delbert,

Using your line of reasoning, anything that I can imagine to exist must be just as valid as your imagined creator . . .

My point is we view our lives through the lens of our experience, and behave accordingly.

The definition of the term solid is still valid on the macroscopic level. We do not live at the atomic level, so the spaces between atoms need not concern us in defining a solid. Can you insert your hand
into a solid piece of wood?

No, I can't insert my hand into a solid piece of wood, but I frequently walk through the woods. The microcosm is the macrocosm.

Rick

Yes Virginia (ummmm Delbert), Santa does exist whenever people embody the spirit of the Santa concept, much in the manner that kindness exists when people are kind, and love when we are loving. That I can't physically touch kindness nor love does not diminish their reality, and should I choose not to believe in these things because they lack physical existence, my life may become more scientifically disciplined, but ultimately poorer.

Rick
