sorry kerry, my post to you was after a long day, macroworld forecasts are purely technical, they are based solely on mathematical formulas, to use them as a black box would be disastrous. for someone like me who tears a company apart though as a guide for timing entry and exit points it is of use. here is an example today i was going to buy cmd and abte. the forecaster predicted a weekending price for abte of $5 and a three month target of $8. friday it closed at 6 and change. i wanted in abte but decided to wait for a pull back first so i put in a limit order of 5.50, which filled by the way. for cmd the weekly and 4 month forecast were up, so i put in a market order this am and filled at $13.75, same for sbgi all price forecasts were up, did my dd on sbgi and put in market order for sbgi this am filled at $18 1/8. those forecasts are a final tool, first i have to ferret through all the fundamental data these forecasts ignore. hope this helps. could you post here on another topic of interest to me. what is insider trading and what is good dd from calling a company. i know taking shares or money to promote a company is a major no no. i mean more like what info can a company give you of their future plans or upcoming news. ceo's of these bb's love to brag, when am i being given insider info if ever. what can they tell me legally and when are they leaking insider info. this never happened to me, just looking to make sure it never does. lot of accusations like that on aznt thread just wanted to clarify the real no no's from silliness. also when can an ir guy tell you news is coming. after it is sent to wire as long as he doesn't tell you the contents? or never till it hits the wire? thanks j
