MG, Never said they would win a popularity contest.

There is one further issue that I use in the selection process. I want the 99 estimated PE to be lower than the current PE. In other words, I don't want to hear that the analysts say that the the stock has a great future, but, oh by the way, next year's earnings are going to lower. Using this rational, AA (for example) was eliminated.

KO has never been cheap when comparing its current PE ratio to anything. The only way to justify a KO is by its incredible ROE.

I haven't done this, but you might consider comparing OSX to the big oils, such as CHV. My gut tells me there is a current relationship.

This has to be a tough market for the purist day traders. With these big gaps on the open, its got to tough on them.
