The congress is composed of that necessary evil, politicians. Whether enough of them can rise above politics to do the right thing remains to be seen. As you say, the house functions like a grand jury, to determine if there is enough evidence to support a trial in the Senate.It doesn't determine guilt or innocence, just whether there is a resonable amount of evidence supporting guilt. Since there is little doubt that there is enough evidence to indict, the vote in the house, especially by partisan Democrats will answer this question. Whether he should be ejected from office in the Senate is, IMHO, less clear cut.
