It looks like the decline is at least temporarily over. The market correctly sensed that Starr had nothing on Friday, so IMO the Clinton nonsense is now history, though presumably the Republicans may still pick up a couple of seats because of it. There was too much fear and bearishness, too many puts bought. Now the market wants to head higher, and options expiration week is almost always strong anyway. The market wants to get people to feel optimistic before heading down again, if indeed it does want to retest those lows one more time. When people start talking about the correction being over and it is only up from here, that may be the time to start accumulating puts again. Let's see how many days in a row the market can head higher.
