Nixon fired his Attorney General because he was unwilling to stop the independent prosecutor. Have you heard of the 'Saturday Massacre'? Clinton can do the same if he chooses. I think Cliton has a lot stronger support in public opinion and in press than Nixon ever had. I say he has a fair shot at ending Starr's investigation. Why doesn't he? You know why? Because there is NO legal ground to stopping Starr. Starr is just carrying out the law to the letter despite heavy interferance and oppositions. THAT is a hero in my book. The bottom line is whether you want the rule of law or rule by poll number. Don't forget that Hitler and Stalin had very high 'job approval' ratings ! Very, very high.
