Why would CIEN pass the 100M break-up fee if they did not have another offer? Probably because they had no right to it. They may not have fully disclosed everything to TLAB that they should have. It likely would have ended up in court, and costed them more than it was worth. Also, I doubt Nettles wants to burn bridges at this point. But its not likely another offer is in the works any time soon. WAY too much uncertainty with this company right now for anyone to pay what Nettles seems to want. He's on his own now, hopefully more focused on the business model than OC-192...
