CCR.. this 'earnings play' was not included for subscribers so I'll just give it to everyone.. I had resistance for this at 39 5/8. It broke through this morning. It's sitting near it's 52 week low. It's got 5 strong buys and 5 moderate buys. Nice projected earnings velocity going forward. at $0.78 to $0.80 to $0.84.. I've played this one before. I'm not hyping it just think it's a possible nice play for earnings on 16th. Not a wild stock.. 6/17/98 - COUNTRYWIDE CREDIT INDUSTRIES, INC. REPORTS FIRST QUARTER EARNINGS AND CALABASAS, Calif., June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Countrywide Credit Industries, Inc. (NYSE: CCR), the nation's largest independent residential mortgage lender and servicer, announced today that unaudited net earnings for the first fiscal quarter ended May 31, 1998 were $90.8 million, a 30 percent increase over earnings of $70.0 million for the fiscal quarter ended May 31, 1997. Basic and diluted earnings per share for the first quarter were $0.82 and $0.78 respectively, up from $0.66 and $0.64 per basic and diluted share for the first quarter of last year.
