John, I'm also trying to get something positive from this, but Nettles keeps getting in the way. The more the guy says, the more respect I lose for him.

CSCO might still be interested in CIEN, but not in a million years at $30-35. Maybe $20 (although I doubt this too).

If TLAB had warned a week ago the merger made not have looked so impossible to pull off. TLABs share price would have been depressed making the .8 to 1 exchange look reasonable. I am assuming also that Ciena share price would not then have dropped so much also under those circumstances.
