It is no coincidence that Linux is succeeding relatively unimpeded by anticompetitive actions just when MSFT is under a DOJ microscope. This is evidence that the DOJ action is both necessary and effective. It was the ongoing cases against IBM and AT&T that kept both in line for years, allowing the inception and growth of both the minicomputer and PC businesses, not the eventual dismissals by the paid-off Reagan/Bush justice department. I hope DOJ keeps some kind of case open here for at least a decade. Cheers, Chaz
