I didn't comment on the rest of your post, because I agree with your general point. But, with all of the circumstantial evidence out there, I do think it's ludicrous to think that this President has only "fooled us once" -- he basically lies at will. He had to be dragged screaming and kicking to give a number of "clarifications" or "updates" on his "apology" of August 17. Do I think there is any chance he is sincere? In a word, NO!
