Wow - sounds like running in "neutral" got some high-powered over-analytical types hoisted on their own petard!

Sounds like their programs violated my rule #2 of investing: Simplify. (Basically, if it's so complex that you can't explain it in terms I can understand, it's too complex!)

Thanks for the update - haven't seen BW yet.

Mr. K.

Mohan,..Re:Nearly every major investment house and bank in the U.S. and abroad has a group of highly paid rocket scientists in its proprietary trading department trying to beat the market with complex, computer-aided trading strategies

Sounds just like what Chuzz keeps telling us, ignore the VooDoo fancy smancy trading strategies, huh? Buy and hold! Except for TLAB!

hmmm How come dumb, no nothing, uses nothing but my eyes, me, is up 100% this year, when these guys with Nobel prizes using gigantic gigantic computer programs with reems of data and people to look at the data, are down 44%... WHY? I'II tell ya why! You can't predict human nature, and the markets are a form of natual selection, and it's game to boot. Most investors do not see this or believe it, they believe the market is predictable, and it can be worked. This is not work people it's a game. <gggg> On top of this they are using your money. If an investors invest in funds it's a win win for them, since fund managers get there 1 to 5% no matter how they perform.
