Part 2... I have provided everyone on this thread with additional information regarding the comments that Gerry has been making. In assessing how reliable a certain piece of information is, one has to decide on how reliable is the source. Is the individual trustworthy? Has he made any contradictory comments in the past? Does he demonstrate a good working knowledge of the topic at hand? Lets all examine a few of his posts and then answer the above questions. After making his initial post on Sep 6 in which he mentioned that additional content providers will be made public shortly, he made the following posts. EACH OF THESE POSTS TOOK PLACE AFTER HE HAD CORRESPONDED WITH ME. Friday,Sep 11 1998 5:22 pm "....I hold firm to my statements." Saturday, Sep 12 1998 12:39AM "....If that doesn't sound logical try the word IBM. Forget the METERING aspect, if thats what your thinking." Saturday, Sep 12 11:13 AM "...Im long, strong, and awaiting the dong of recognition taht wavx imminently will see...." Saturday, Sep 12 1998 7:18 PM " Web, give me until Monday afternoon to reply, the only information I can divulge about tomorrow will be that the Jets will win their first game of the season. Monday I expect to make the most money that Ive ever made in a day." Saturday, Sep 12 1998 4:33 PM "...Dr. Singh, I've been a long term shareholder so old the company had a different name when I first became involved. I have a substantial stake here and Im certain of the imminent rewards my patience has permitted me...." Sunday, Sep 13 1998 12:14Am " Wildman I expect to see 7-9 by Mondays close or Tuesdays open...I was tempted awhile back to dump when it rode past five believe me, and looking back I should have.Nonetheless, the days of 3-4 dollars will be gone and my patience along with others who have endured will pay off..." Monday, Sep 14 1998 2:55 AM "...Short term there is a very high possibility that we will not see these prices again. Phsycologically would you buy at 9 when you could have bought at 3-4, no..." Part 3... The internet provides all of us a medium to exchange ideas and information. However, unlike in the real world, where we can evaluate other characteristics of the individual, in this medium, we all have to rely on the track record of the poster. In Gerry's case...when exactly was this news going to come out? Mind you, we will have our day in the sun. From what we have all seen, Gerry has provided us with contradictory information...imminent rewards and 6-8 week period of anxiety. His working knowledge of the product is questionable..."forget the metering aspect." Granted that the wavemeter has additional applications, however, how can we "forget" about one of it's primary functions? Gerry's understanding of what causes a corporation to proceed in a certain direction is also questionable...given his preoccupation with Cendant. What is the relevance of whether or not Cendants software unit decides to remain or terminate it's relationship with WAVX? What he apparently does not comprehend is what enticed Cendant to come on board in the first place. WAVX offers them and other content providers an excellent, reliable and secure distribution channel. Does everyone remember the comment the exec. from the Learning Tree made about their recent acquisition of Borderbund(sp)? "It's all about making money." Therefore, I fail to see his logic that the internal problems at Cendant will effect the timing of content provider announcements made by WAVX. Lastly, in regards to his trustworthiness...all I can say is to read the recent posts about his residence, sources and true name. In conclusion, as I have said numerous times before, in order to have a informative thread, we need to hear perspectives from both sides of the issue...pro as well as con. However, we also need to maintain our vigilence(sp) for individuals that seek an opportunity to aggressively manipulate the stock. Sincerely, Jas
