Alomex, Here is an exact copy of the email I received from someone I know in the Rational field organization. Send me a private message with your email and I will forward it to the person at Rational. You guys should speak directly... Received 9/13/98 "Hello Alomex, I saw your recent post regarding our (Rational's) SEED program. Here are some details that you might pass on to your friends: Via SEED (Software Engineering in the Educational Domain), qualified educational institutions can receive a wide range of Rational software and courseware for FREE. I personally have placed a wide range of our products, including Purify, Rose, SQA TeamTest, Objectory Process, and several different courses, at four different universities within my sales territory. Any university/college that is interested in enrolling should contact their local Rational sales office for program details. About the university that recently got a bill for Purify maintenance -- I wouldn't be surprised if the original licenses were sold to this university by Pure or PureAtria, and that the bill was prepared and sent via our automated maintenance renewals software to "an existing licensee whose maintenance was expiring". This university should contact their local Rational reps and get these licenses renewed via SEED."
