Look, I am going to make this very simple for you guys... BTIM enjoyed a fast rise to the 27. (post split). BTIM did not have any FDA approved products. BTIM was about to submit their first NDA for Hextend, a plasma expander. The history of the BTIM exes was a little dubious.. they were somehow associated (personally) with cryogenics.. which to most is fringe science. Since they were going into their "dark" period (while awaiting FDA aproval of their first product, Hextend) they were not about to rock the boat and respond to any lies or accusations. This was a classic text book short... no product no revenues, in a black out phase..stock (perhaps) slightly overvalued because so many had bought it in anticipation of approval... Assensio and friends (David Tice.. et alia.. imho) jumped in and started to shrot the stock. BTIM was not on the NSADAQ national board at the time, which means that these professional short sellers could get in, and naked short sell (without actually getting shares to sell since they did not have to report it). BTIM negotiates a deal with Abbott to market and sell Hextend when they get FDA approval. Abbott currently markets the competitor to Hextend.. a less expensive alternative, hespan. Now.. why would Abbott want to secure this deal with BTIM?? Dupont was desperately trying to secure these same marketing and manufactuing rights. BTIM goes on the natinal Nasdaq board. Therefore, short sales now have to be reported monthly. Panic? I think so.. .. the day after BTIM announces the deal with abbott.. the first article blasting BTIM comes out.. bad timing.. assensio did not realize that the deal would occur before his planted article. Now BTIM is listed on Nasdaq. Assensio panics and knows that he has to cover and wants his short wannabes (including your idol, Wexler) to start spreading falsehoods about the company. Wannabes jump in... Assensio (with many contact in the press... follow my lead here.. check out who writes favorable articles about him,,, and how these same writers have written very unprofessional articles about BTIM) gets a nice juicy article published in the west coast edition of the wall street journal... after he has told his two friends (institutions, no less) that BAD PRESS is coming out soon..... short. Lets add a little salt here.. there was a major margin call for one insitution... which our dear fiend, Manuel, probably had knowledge of.. which was going to drive te price down... so-- the deal now... is ... the stock went from $27 to $6. and change. The longs hung in.. unless they were forced out due to margin calls. Assensio has many firends in the press.. and they planted some nice juicy articles about BTIM being a scam... and BTIM could not respond.. therefore, I did.. a long with the knowledge of a little HTML. THE CURRENT SCENARIO... for everyone who wants to make money in this market... we longs have agressively been putting our shares into cash accounts, and out of the hands of the shorts. BTIM is very (VERY) close to FDA approval of Hextend. The argument about the market size for Hextend is BS... there has been a peer reviewed article to be published which substanates the claim that Hextend will capture the albumin market. The FDA has issued a letter to ALL doctors telling them to proceed with caution in using albumin because it can cause death. you do the math.. with just about 2 million shares shorted. with FDA approval on the verge. with shares being in cash accounts and not availble to the shorts. with Hextend about to be touted as a substitute for albumin.. what side of the fence do you want to be on? Plus.. look at the other 3 products in btim's pipeline. This may be a short board, but you all want to make money. I suggest you all do your own Due Diligence here .. don't take my word... read what the FDA has to say, read abbotts licensing agreement.. check out the yahoo message board... which is a good realistic and no bs forum for a discussion of this stock. make money.. buy , do your own DD, don't listen the short shills... and buy in cash accounts.inch.com
