Pfizer's Viagra cleared for sale in EU

STRASBOURG, France, Sept 15 (Reuters) - The European Commission on Tuesday authorised Pfizer Inc to market its popular anti-impotence drug Viagra in the 15 European Union countries, Industry Commissioner Martin Bangemann said.

''I have signed it,'' Bangemann told Reuters in Strasbourg, where he was attending a European Parliament session. Bangemann was authorised to sign the decision on behalf of the EU's executive body.
