all,

A few months ago on Yahoo I said that TLAB was my favorite candidate, if any, to take over MRVC. (I was against a takeover anyway.) Considering TLAB's and CIEN's parting and the following post from the TLAB thread, I still think TLAB to be a good white knight:

Good luck.

Andy.. I'm CONSIDERING!

You took positive action upon negative information.
>> "MRVC wrote off over $30 million directly related to Xyplex, representing nearly the entire purchase price, and, also incurred a $23 million "restructuring" charge, which was apparently ignored in large part by being combined with the Xyplex charge."

Question. Andy, My good man! Why be so timid about stating your facts? If the "restructuring" (as you MARK it in quotation marks) was directly incurred by MRVC due to the acquisition of Xyplex and some neat and special way they do their accounting as opposed to some saintly way of CSCO and everybody else who's their competition, then MRVC didn't "apparently" (as you, again, MARK it in quotation marks) ignore in any part combining it with the Xyplex acquisition. They simply did it! With some kind of BIG F hope that they wouldn't get caught! The company's stock should be punished on that account. Or, perhaps, for just not being as BIG as CSCO when they regularly pull the same shit? hmmmmmmmmm.

Your consistent Andy, and a good source of information as you give reference as to where you got it. BLESS YOU.. (even if something turns up to prove us wrong - right?)

Marty
