I've been thinking about DVD lately and have been shopping around. DVD players are expensive! I could almost build a computer with a DVD drive for as much money. But I question whether I would. I am the first to shout integration but I am seeing a distinction between my home theater and my computer. I think the industry also recognizes this and is not pushing the technology into the PC as much as into the home theater system. If I buy a DVD player it will be a unit that resides in my living room with my 61" TV and AC-3 amplifier. (none of which I have yet)
Maybe I'm not considering the possibilities such as downloading DVD movies or video conferencing with some sort of DVD compression but I don't see anyone else going that direction either.

What do you all think: DVD player or integrate my PC into my home theater system? This may seem off topic but I think it's relevant.

Tony

BTW, WHERE IS DVD SUPPORT??

Creative and Quantum3d have not announced configurations yet. I would expect that creative, being big on DVD, might offer some support.
