Announces Plans to Acquire Adaptec's External Storage Systems Division LONGMONT, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 1998-- Chaparral Will Develop, Manufacture RAID Controllers and Storage Routers for Enterprise Network Storage, Storage Area Networks Today, Chaparral announced it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Adaptec's External Storage Systems Division.
