The biggest problem I have with polls is that they don't seem to measure the depth or strength of opinions. The questions tend to ask for yes/no or at best multiple choice answers.

In the Clinton case, I suspect those wanting him out of office are probably more passionate about their feelings than those of us who want him to remain in office. If I'm right, Clinton's popularity might sink much more quickly than it would rise. It's really hard to imagine his approval rating going much higher than it is now, but, to paraphrase Senator Lott, one of the things that Republicans really fear about the ongoing revelations of Clinton's misconduct is that they might drive his approval rating over 100%.
