Yeah, that last hour or two totally baffles me.

Since I'm clutching at straws for answer (and hopefully
tomorrow we will gap up back to normal as you said) here's
a possible explanation.

I was reading Cramer's article a day or two ago, and he says
that in times of extreme volatility, when lots of investors
get hit with margin calls, that the brokerage firm who
sells the clients stocks won't care less what price they get.
Typically, they wait till end of day and just dump the stock
for whatever they get, since they have no incentive to "shop".

Maybe there was a huge 200K block that got dumped by margin
liquidator around 3:00pm<gg>....not me guys.
