That piece was bizarre...totally bizarre..it would be neat if cnbc interviewed whoever contributed to that article and asked him where he is getting his information from.

I am still of the belief that the reaction to the Russian crisis to the west is not about Russia per se but a mighty shift in confidence.."too big to be allowed to fail" was shot down dead..derivatives failed big time.. I am currently assuming that a major shift has just occurred and a new game will have to be found..
I had an incredible conversation with an internet buddy who drove home the point that if Rubin and company keeps up the belief that they can
turn the Japanese into Americans
in the way they run their country..
they knows nothing about the power of culture..
If one reads some of the releases from the FOMC etc.. one would have to assume that nobody in power has a clue about the pandora's box about the global economy..one can't just work things for the benefit of ones own country, one now has to work it for the common good of all countries to maintain stability in ones one..
I guess the selfishness of human nature always wins out..watch the US
want lower tax cuts and let others down the road worry about the growing debt..
