The KGB and French frogmen and the Lewdwinky affair notwithstanding, here's a WW3 threat: Iran poised for action: news.bbc.co.uk At the very least, the USA cruise missile attack gives them a yellow light to stage an air raid on Afghanistan. It will be interesting to see how this escalates. The Iranian perception is that the USA has been supporting Taleban via Pakistan in order establish a route for an oil pipeline. This is worth a few 1000 Afghani lives isn't it? Now why would the USA back Taleban, the world's most regressive and repressive islamic fundamentalist army? This would be as stupid as supporting Saddam Hussein......... Doh! I hope the USA stays way clear of this mess. It will be a lose/lose situation whatever they do.
