The Qlogic [Adapter] and the MKII [switch] can be used in the same SAN architecture or configuration as they preform different functions and [with or without a hub] are necessary componets of a fabric based SAN.The MKII is interop with both the Qlogic and Emulex chip set and HBA [as i am sure are Brocade, McData etc.].
