(NewsTraders) -- Netscape Communications (NSCP) Chairman James Clark filed to sell 250,000 shares of common stock with a market value of about $5.6 million, according to a Form 144 released today by the SEC. Clark filed to sell the shares through Monaco Partners LP, of which he is the sole partner. Newstraders reported on Sept. 2 that Clark filed to sell 250,000 shares. It wasn't immediately clear whether today's filing was an amended or updated document or if he plans to sell an additional 250,000 shares. The two filings listed different expected sale dates and also different potential values of the transactions.

Tuesday, Tuesday, September 15, 1998 03:36 PM WASHINGTON, Sept 15 (Reuters) - A living trust set up for Netscape Communications Corp. executive vice president Marc Andreessen sold 200,000 common shares worth $4.3 million of the Internet company, a recent regulatory filing showed. The trust sold shares of the Mountain View, Calif.-based company on Sept. 3, a Form 144 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission indicated earlier this month. Company executives file the document with the SEC showing an intention to sell stock, but are not obliged to do so. The documents sometimes reveal shares that have already been sold. Netscape has about 104 million shares outstanding. Shares fell 4/16 to 21-5/16 on Nasdaq. Quote for referenced ticker symbols: NSCPc 1998, Reuters
