I'm sure it's also related to your broker. As you know, some brokers seem to find shares to short easier than others. That's why some people have accounts at 2 or 3 brokers. Does spread around the capital that way, though. :(

According to the figures I have, short interest is a mere 2.3% of the float. So, theoretically, shares should be easy to come by.
