Speaking of Seagate, here's an off topic interview with Shugart: thetech.org There's no date on the interview. I find extraordinarily irritating this habit of some websites not dating their pages. Anyway you can tell from the interview that it's obviously pre-ouster. Here's an interesting excerpt that indicates that perhaps Shugart was out of touch with PC reality: WOLFSON: So what direction do you see computers and technology going if it's not going to be the web? SHUGART: I don't think the web has anything to do with it at all. I think that computers will continue to progress as they have in the last 20 years. Smaller, faster, better, cheaper.
