You're an idiot. "Java" is platform independent. The JVM implementations are buggy, but rapidly improving. There's not much of a technical hurdle to making a non-buggy piece of code (the JVM), but it does take time. You can write code and run it anywhere, but you have to realize that the underlying layers are not perfect. Why is that any different from writing platform specific Windows code that crashes all the time when Windows becomes unstable?? If you want it easy, you shouldn't be in the computer field. Mike
