Hi Mike. I read that as well! I was always under the impression that Freeports Grassberg mine was the largest. It turns out the Grassberg is, in "gold equivalent ounces", but Muruntau Gold Deposit has more "gold"! Grassberg is made up of about 40mm ozs of gold and billions of pounds of base metals!
