peter michaelson, That is an interesting point. However, it does raise certain questions. I'll just take a rough shot at indicating the direction of my initial thinking by asking a question.

You said: "we do not own SI and SI has the right to exercise their freedom of expression by disenfranchising whomever they choose."

For example, should the phone company be allowed to disconnect my telephone to exercise their freedom of expression? Certainly I'm comparing apples to oranges here but I don't yet know what the important differences are nor their implications.
