MEMC Warns (from briefing.com): MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. (WFR) 5 11/16 +1/16: producer of silicon wafers is warning that it anticipates posting a wider than expected loss in Q3; sees sales around $160 to $165 mln; according to First Call, company was already projected to lose $1.03 a share, vs year-ago loss of $0.10 a share; see press release..... That's both wafer makers that have warned, American and Japanese... it's simple: if wafers don't get sold, chips don't get made... F.
