Pardon my curiosity, but what is Intel SUPPOSE to do in this situation?

Timothy,

Whatever they can get away with.

Antitrust is basically a worship of the status quo. Any price change - up or down - is assumed to be a violation.

Tim,

I imagine that he thinks that Intel should sacrifice ALL of their earnings for the good of the competition by raising the price of their products so that less would be sold by Intel and more would be sold by the competition. I'd guess he'd think this would be a good thing. I don't think consumers would think so.
