I'm sure that those folks can find many other opportunities in other departments of the new enterprise.

Yea, me too...but couldn't you see them try and do something like Citi did, and try and salvage their efforts in this line? However, I wouldn't want to see CKFR pick up that bill pay business for the same reason I'm glad Citi pawned theirs off on TP...TPs' move showed desperation and long term will serve to drive away Future FI's.

Maybe Integrion might be interested, or Princeton Telecom....but It seems pretty damm evident to this fool that Integrion got the pick of the litter last year.

BTW...You heard if from ME first in Michigan.....TP=TransPoint.

And what do you do with TP besides flushing it?

Brooks,

I think the reason BoA/Nations is even considering doing bill presentment in house is because of David Coulter (former BoA CEO), who is second in command. It is rumored that Coulter will leave but only after he keeps some promises of taking care of "his people". He surely is not doing the new Nations/BoA any favors (puting his needs first, instead of the banks). He is making a complicated Bank Merger even more complicated.

IMO there is not much CheckFree can do except wait. I think Pete should stick to his guns, make BoA/Nations sign a fair contract if they do sign, because while it is important to sign the largest bank, it is more important to be able to make a profit.
