AL,

The Energy Stock Page is considering subscriptions in the future as a means of generating revenue. Before that time, however, we are working on a number of additional features for the website which we feel users will find to be useful in helping them analyze junior Canadian oil and gas companies.

Over the past year, we have profiled 26 companies, half of which have appreciated subsequent to being profiled anywhere between 10% and 100%. On average our featured companies have appreciated 18.1% since we began in September, 1997. We consider that to be fairly good based on a number of factors:

- The TSE Oil and Gas Producers Index has dropped over 40% from its high in October 1997 to September, 1998.

- Having profiled companies at equal time intervals throughout the year, the average hold period is six months, resulting in an annualized average appreciation rate of 36%.

The oil and gas sector is cyclical and we recognize that the last year has been hard on oil and gas stocks due to falling commodity prices. Through this, however, we have continued to post our results and have continued on with bi-weekly profiles. We remain confident that a turnaround for the sector will occur in the near future.

Please remember that this site is meant as an information source and we encourage all users to use their own due diligence.

Al,

Hey, I am on your side re BEA. However, anyone who plays the Penny Market lately is in the tank. The junior market is terrible - period. I keep hoping for an area play to develop. None-the-less it is going to take awhile yet. I think we need the offset well to really show what the story will be. I have waited a long time - I can wait some more.
