Bede,

before signing up with CyberTrader, i spent days comparing everybody's commissions. Trust me, it's not worth the effort. Pick the system which you are comfortable operating, which gives you the tools to make trading decisions and which gives you better order execution options.

CyberTrader doesn't have the cheapest commissions, but the extra $1-2 you'll pay per ticket is made up by getting better executions which can translate into much, much more than the $2.

Forget about commission cost, and pick a system which will allow you to get in and out of stocks profitably.

Good Luck!

Brentsky

Datek truly too expensive? That's ridiculous. When I play market maker and put out shares at the offer, it goes out on the Island. Market orders usually get executed in 2 seconds or less. And if there is a delay, no commissions! I use Datek Online for order entry and myTrack for Level II quotes - it's a beautiful thing.

Psychologically, if you save $10-15 per trade and you make 200 trades per month, that's $2,000 to $3,000 that goes to your trading bottom line. Minimizing trading costs is key to success.
