I'm an independent also and have read the whole Bible twice, every chapter and verse [Numbers gets real boring].

The part about character was a quote from you.

If this was lame, it's your own words.

As for the international response, you really don't know what you're talking about. I have polled many of my international business associates on this very issue and the unanimous response I get is that he should resign. Even in France, where leaders are well-known to have mistresses, a man's honor is more important than a job. The deceit surrounding Clinton's affair has brought disgrace to his office - at least that's how foreigners see it. In those countries, if a man is disgraced, he resigns.

But not Clinton.

>Oh, and there's King David. He had scores of wives and concubines. Greatest king Israel ever had.<

Firstly, the last time I checked my Old Testament, it informed me that King David was never head of a Democracy, but perhaps you have different information.

Secondly, if as a result of his "wives and concubines" Bill Clinton were to lose his child at birth, be hunted and nearly murdered by his own child, be humiliated by having his wife raped publicly by his own child, suffer the loss of several of his loved ones-- some at one another's own hands, and be cursed with pain and death in his family for the rest of his life, if like David, Bill Clinton were to suffer all these things because of his offenses, then perhaps I would say fine, let the man remain President.

(IF you have read the text, you really should read it more objectively.)
